Screen time for iPhone has not been available...

I’ve got 4 family members w screen time on. When I go to the list of kids there is a red (!) next to one. When I enter that kids profile it says “Screen time for iphone has not been available for 7days. Make sure iPhone is connected to the internet and signed into iCloud w Apple ID”.

when I look at that iPhone, it is logged into iCloud and connected to the internet. The screen time restrictions are actually set and working.... but I just cannot see them on my phone.

I tried turning screen time off, restarting the device and signing out of iCloud and back in. Same result.

any suggestions?

I had the exact same problem. After a little research I concluded that this is a bug related to some form of caching problem on my own device (the one with the "Screen time for iphone has not been available for 7days” message). The only way I found to clear this cache was to sign out of iCloud on my own iPhone. I then accessed the Screentime settings, which of course now did not show my family anymore. Then I closed all apps. Accessed settings and logged in to iCloud again.

Problem solved.

I got this problem when my son got a replacement phone and we restored the backup from the old phone to the new one. It's like the warning message refer to the old one he no longer have, and even removed the old device from his Apple ID and Find my phone that didn't help. To resolve this I renamed the kids phone under Settings-General-About to a new name and the warning were gone. Then I renamed the phone back to the original name and still works fine. Take less than a minute instead of trying to fix this by logging in and out of iCloud and so on that doesn't actually solve anything except give you a headache since there are several things you have to fix afterwards.

I am having the same issue. I continue to get the error message on my own phone under my child's screen time setting. I have not tried logging out of iCloud on my phone yet, but have powered on / off both devices and done a hard restart.

I'm curious if this is a 14.3 bug of some kind. It started immediately when my child's replacement phone arrived and I restored it, updating to 14.3 in the process. My phone is also running 14.3.

My spouse's phone is on 14.2, and does NOT have the same screen time alert / error message when viewing our child's screen time on that device...

Hello lophman,

We understand you are having an issue with your Screen Time feature and we're happy to help. Since it is not showing the information on your device, have you tried restarting your device and Screen Time on it? If so, did you also do it on the other device? Lastly, let's complete the steps listed here: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to make sure it is set up properly.

Have a great day!
