heavy memory usage catalina

I have a MacBook Pro 13" that I bought in January this year. I recently updated to Catalina and it is really slow - apps take a while to open and CleanMyMac constantly tells me I have no RAM left.

I often have only a few hundred MB free when I've just got regular apps open - browser, email, messaging.

If I use it for what I bought the Pro for (djing with Rekordbox and streaming with OBS) I'll have nothing open except Rekordbox, OBS and Edge and I'll have approx 22MB of RAM free and my computer will not operate like a new MacBook Pro at all. Pretty much garbage.

Surely this isn't normal?? What do I do?

Catalina 10.15.7 (19H2)

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)

2.4 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5

8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.10

i looked at your report and i'm still going to say your issue is mainly clean my mac. most users here would tell you it is a waste of system resources and provides no benefit. i copied some things from your report to show you how many things it runs on your system.

User Launch Agents:

 [Running] com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.Agent.plist (MacPaw Inc. - installed 2020-11-01)

 [Loaded] com.macpaw.CleanMyMac4.Updater.plist (MacPaw Inc. - installed 2020-11-01)

User Login Items:

[Running] CleanMyMac X Menu (MacPaw Inc. - installed 2020-11-01)

Modern Login Item

/Applications/CleanMyMac X.app/Contents/Library/LoginItems/CleanMyMac X Menu.app

[Running] CleanMyMac X HealthMonitor (MacPaw Inc. - installed 2020-11-01)

frankly, i would uninstall it before looking for any other faults.

if you decide to keep it, all i can say is good luck.
