Convert Motion template to FCPX Generator

I have just purchased a Motion template for a photo slideshow. When I convert the template for use as a Generator in Final Cut Pro X, I lose the ability to access the editing parameters. For example, I can select a photo and it will be added to an empty Drop Zone in the slideshow. This is fine so log at the photo is landscape. When I add a portrait photo, I need to edit its size, shape and position. The parameters are visible to do this but they are greyed out. In Motion, all the parameters are showing as 'Published' so I'm at a loss to work out what the issue is. I'm using Motion 5.4.7 and FCPX 10.4.10. I have published from Motion as both 'Title' and 'Generator' and both react the same way, the resizing parameters are greyed out.

I'm an old hand on a Mac but Motion isn't something I'm familiar with in this way.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Luis. I messaged the template creator and they explained that converting to Final Cut isn't recommended because "it isn't optimised to support motion blur, 3d lights, cameras" all things that have been used in the template I purchased. The template creator advised me that it will be much faster to do it from Motion. I have since taken the files out of the Motion Templates Generator folder so I can't show you the greyed out parameters. The ones I had were the same as your photo but I couldn't use the X or Y or the scale slider, none of it moved. The drop down triangles worked to show the options available but that was all.

What template are you talking about? Who made it? Trying to add support for motion blur was a mistake, but if you don't change the length of the template, motion blur will work in FCPX. 3D Lights and Cameras work in FCPX... so I don't understand what the problem is.

All you have to do is go to the File menu and Convert Project To... You can change any type of template into any other type of template. You won't be replacing the original.

The template was purchased from the Envato marketplace. I haven't tried to change the length of the template myself, although I did request a longer version be made for me by the template creator, which he did. I have tried the 'Convert to' options and they work in most part, except the scale parameters are what is missing. I cannot adjust the scale X, Y or Z. I have tried what you suggest but it doesn't work in this instance.
