iPhone marking texts messages as read without giving notifications

This was driving me crazy too. The 14.3 update addresses the issue. I’m just now downloading it so I can’t verify that it addresses it successfully.

I have been having this problem since i’ve updated to ios 14.2 and it’s driving me crazy. No notifications and messages are marked read 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

It’s making me crazy! There’s no rhyme or reason to it!

No updates and it’s still happening. I turned off “awareness” mode and that hasn’t helped. Anyone else have a fix?

unfortunately, still nothing. I stopped using iMessage because of this bug 🤦🏻‍♂️

I'm glad I'm not the only one. This is happening to me and the wife. Both on latest versions of IOS. It's so random but too frequent and drives me mad. The wife thinks I'm ignoring her! Lol

My wife is on 14.3 and still seems to be having this issue...

I’m having the same issue. I contacted Apple support, they said the only thing to try was Turing reads off but that still didn’t solve the “silent delivery” that’s going on with my messages.
