Screen sharing not working on Discord

I'm trying to share my screen using the Discord app but it doesn't work. Looked for solutions on the web and couldn't find any that would fix it. I can get my desktop shown, but nothing else that I have open. How can I fix that? I'm on macOS Catalina 10.15.6.

macOS Catalina native Screensharing app not working I'm writing here to report a problem with native Screensharing app. It is not working anymore in Catalina. I'm no more able to remotely see the Desktop of my Mac mini through Screensharing app on my MacBook Pro. It works perfectly with third party apps on iOS, such as VNC in both scenarios of same network and over-the-internet, but macOS cannot do it. I can only control my Mac mini if under the same network and from the button in finder. If I use the Screensharing app, nothing: it asks for user and password, but the windows shakes as if they are wrong. One more thing: I posted the same problem some weeks ago and the post disappeared. Can't Share Screen of iMac M1 running Monterrey from MacMini Running Catalina I've just put up a new iMac 24" M1 running Monterrey, migrating from an older iMac (2012) running Mojave. Everything works fine so far, except for screen sharing. I'm using a 2012 MacMini running Catalina as a Screen Sharing client. I can connect and log in to the iMac just fine. The problem is the screen sharing window on the client is black - I see nothing of what's on the iMac's screen. I can see the mouse pointer moving, but that's all; the rest of the screen sharing window is black. I've tried everything I can think of and haven't been able to move the ball on this. As nearly as I can tell, I've got everything configured correctly, and had no problems with screen sharing before moving to the new iMac M1 / Monterrey. So far, I've been unsuccessful in finding anything in the forums that addresses this particular issue. Any help is much appreciated!

Screen sharing on High Sierra—why isn't it working anymore? Screen sharing has stopped working on my 84-yo mother's Mac Mini from 2011 running High Sierra. I keep getting this error regardless of whether I connect from Macs running High Sierra, Catalina or Monterey: The firewall isn't blocking: screen sharing is mentioned as permitting incoming connections, but even if I turn the firewall off screen sharing won't work. I've tried to add my own account under Users & Groups and added that in Sys Prefs—Screen Sharing but it doesn't help. It also doesn't work if I allow everyone to connect. I have also tried to share using Messages app on my Macs but I get the same error. Can someone help me with this? I am having a hard time helping my mum since I live in another location and she quite frequently needs assistance with the computer. Thank you in advance Philip
