My iphone 12 pro brightness is inconsistent. Its dims or gets darker screen when its at max and after i sleep my screen and wake it again, it gets much much brighter.
As if it was on 25%. Its seems to me like a lag or something of the sort happens to the screen. Any suggestions?

Hi all!
Just check that you've switched off the Auto-Brightness feature (please don't confuse with Settings->Display & Brightness->Automatic !).
You need to switch off these features here:
1) Settings -> Accessibility -> Display & Text Size -> Auto-Brightness
2) Settings -> Accessibility -> Display & Text Size -> Reduce White Point
(frankly speaking, turn off all features in the Display & Text Size).
The iPhone 12 Pro's display is amazing in compare to iPhone 11 Pro.

No, it's not.
I use my 12 Pro Max outdoors every day and have never, ever seen this issue.
There must be other factors involved.

I see there is a iPhone 13 being released. Do you see any changes that would improve performance and eliminate the problems we have experienced?

iPhone 13 is out today. If anyone can prove that the new model does NOT overheat at normal outdoor temperature please let us know.

Yah it happened mine too i turn on darkmode switched to WhatsApp screen suddenly blows up I don’t know what’s going here i was purchased this phone using emi 🥲🥲
This is for all the iPhone 12 Pro Max people with brightness issues.....IT IS AN OVERHEATING ISSUE......take your phone put it on your car AC vent, set AC to max cool-high fan and watch the brightness magically reset to MAX brightness.
i find this very annoying to have to deal with and why hasn’t APPLE told us that the phone dims in defense of over heating....also why hasn’t APPLE told us these phones run VERY hot??????
