My iphone 12 pro brightness is inconsistent. Its dims or gets darker screen when its at max and after i sleep my screen and wake it again, it gets much much brighter.
As if it was on 25%. Its seems to me like a lag or something of the sort happens to the screen. Any suggestions?

Hi all!
Just check that you've switched off the Auto-Brightness feature (please don't confuse with Settings->Display & Brightness->Automatic !).
You need to switch off these features here:
1) Settings -> Accessibility -> Display & Text Size -> Auto-Brightness
2) Settings -> Accessibility -> Display & Text Size -> Reduce White Point
(frankly speaking, turn off all features in the Display & Text Size).
The iPhone 12 Pro's display is amazing in compare to iPhone 11 Pro.

How can you get a refund?
Will we be able to upgrade to a 13 due to the issue with the 12 and no refund if you own the phone past 30 days ?
Why on a 1200 dollar phone there should be no reason to alter settings otherwise set as default like any other phone since iPhone 1
For most, there is not.
The settings changes are for those having issues.
For example I’ve had my 12 Pro Max since launch day and have never felt it get warm let alone dim the display to keep cool.

Apparently they haven’t fixed it, been almost a year already so I guess it’s a hardware problem, so annoying!!!
Hope it works for you. I had repairs, tweaks, replacement. Traded it in for an 11Pro 15 minutes after I got the replacement because problem persisted..

Go complain to apple directly people! I’ve done so numerous times.
The iPhone X, Xs, 11 and 12 all have OLED screens.
Only the SEv2 and iPhone 8 and prior have LCDs.
only the pros have oled my iPhone 11 was LCD and I can be in direct sun for hours at beach driving and never had over oled panel issues !!!
The screen will darken slightly when it is idle to save on power.

And to be clear the issue is with ALL iPhone 12. Mine are iPhone 12 non max (we have two 12 and one 12 pro) and they all have this stupid issue. They are indoor phones only now. Thanks apple.
