iPhone 12 is so slow

iPhone 12 pro max same issue. Running 14.2.1. So annoying! My daughter’s iPod touch will load quickly, husband’s iPhone 8 loads quickly, other daughter’s iPhone 6s loads quickly, I get network errors and I’m left waiting. I tried disconnecting WiFi and running only cellular, but why???!! BTW my last phone did this same thing, so maybe it’s an issue with my profile backup???

The thing is, it's not the new feature in iOS, it's your router that's at fault.

There is nothing about a randomly generated MAC address that will slow down your Wi-Fi from your phone's point of view.

There are all sorts of wacky things your router may be doing.

Ultimately router manufacturers should fix this, but in the mean time you can shut off private Wi-Fi addresses as a workaround, though at some loss in privacy.

Turn off the VPN option by going to setings

Then you should see the first screen witht he Airplane mode and 5 other option

The very last one of that group should ve the Blue VPN box. Click that and another window will open.

Click on the. Make sure it says not connected. See photo provided.

Try turning off the private WiFi feature in the WiFi settings. It worked for me and made my browsing experience so much faster. I had the same issues with iPhone 12.

Turn of Bluetooth!

Turn off Bluetooth

Easy Fix: go to

Settings> Cellular> Cellular Data Options> Voice and Data> LTE

Should fix it.

You have actually described a perfect trouble shooting scenario where the problem could only have been your own router. Checked it with another phone, checked it on another network, even checked it against a new modem from Cox. Everyone has the same issue as you. Wherever you get your router, you need to replace it periodically or you can’t take advantage of new speeds that your phone can use.

I have a Time Capsule which is basically that same generation Airport Extreme with a hard drive inside… and have no issue downloading multi-gigabit files from my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Is it connected directly to your cable modem or other router, or do you have another router between it and your modem?

Has anyone figured this out? I got my iPhone 12 Pro on the 5th, it didn't work really, slow to start up, download my apps etc... i was like that is weird. and then i went to bed and the next day i tried to connect to Wifi and it did but everything was extremely slow, or didnt work at all. My apps didn't load. IG Xed out. So, i decided to try my new simcard but 5G was missing... in settings. Anyway, it then connected but again it was so slow, extremely slow or didn't work at all. Anyway, i sent it back for a new one.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro since I got the same problem. I contacted Apple support.

I reset the network settings. I reset the modem settings. I installed it as a new iPhone. It didn't work.

I turned off "private address" in wifi settings. I have 100mbits internet. I get 10mbits hard. Average 0.50mbits.

Disgrace. I have to use cellular at home.

I think it's a hardware problem. iPhone XS, iPhone 6, iPad Air 3, iPad Air 2 and iMac are all connected to the same network.

We are just fellow Apple users here, and as such we don't have the power to fix anything.

If shutting that setting off affects your speed, you either have a broken WiFi router and should contact its manufacturer, or your network is set up to send "unknown" devices off to a slower limited bandwidth network.

I found that all of my security features are what was making everything slow. Apple has apparently made the iPhone 12 to fight with your VPN, any browser that’s not Safari, and private network addressing.

For some reason Apple wants you to be as vulnerable as possible to hackers and scammers.

Oh and dont use safari and google use bing
