Adobe Flash Player Uninstall Message Pops Up
Take a look at this screenshot. This is a popup that just occurred.
Did anyone else get this popup just now?:
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Yes, the message is legitimate. My wife got it on her Mac a month or so ago. Until then, I didn't realize it was still on that Mac. Before doing anything, we verified the message was indeed from Adobe. It is.
You can download the uninstaller directly from Adobe on this page. Assuming you're running at least Mac OS 10.6.x, you want to download the linked uninstaller by that name:
Open the .dmg and run the uninstaller. It only takes a few moments.
No, you don't need to erase the drive to do something this basic.

Will do. But it will not be until late tomorrow. I have an extremely late call scheduled (my time). So, keep an eye on this post.
Update:
System Hung and it Needs Service:
I backed up my Mac. Then, it appears overnight that it tried to update to 10.15.7. It got hung, resulting in an unsuccessful update.
I called Apple Support. The Apple Rep told me that Catalina is going to be inaccessible for 2 weeks. So, I restored it from a 10.15.6 TMB over-the-phone with Apple Support. I will let it be for a week until I hear back from Apple. This is being looked in to.
So, with Catalina being inaccessible for download (according to the Apple Rep) for two weeks, I am told to refrain from upgrading my Mac to Big Sur until 10.16.1 is released (that way bugs can be fixed).
What this all comes down to is getting this bar alias to go away. The restoration from a backup not containing the bar folder nor the bar alias kept it there.
Expect an update sometime later on.
I too would also like to know the outcome. What did you do with the other Mac that received the pop up? My pop up keeps coming back even after I clicked "Uninstall." I even restarted my laptop, but it still comes up...

Thanks John.
I always learn a lot by talking with the Apple Specialists (and others in this forum). It is the easy way out. Thing is: I’m doing what they recommend, so that I don’t damage my device.
As I commonly ask : “Why risk a Damaged Device?”
Thanks for the update. It seems Adobe did something no one can fix. Can't say I'm surprised. They're no better than the "anti-virus" establishment.
So, now with no need to have it, I will not install it.

Thanks for the feedback and the interesting story.
I do believe what you described. I just wonder how an experienced - Apple - Unix engineer was not able to come up with a simple C program to handle a low level fix on the file system?

Apple's practice of hosting a site like this to buffer their techs from answering anything directly (?) is pretty annoying. Can Apple-official please weigh in: is the Adobe message legit? What are the steps to properly uninstall whatever it's pointing at?
If Apple provides no direct support here, then they should stop spamming the search results on Apple OS / iOS tech questions and let us find our own answers without dragging us here to what is a fairly low-quality trouble-shooting resource (sorry other users, but agreed, right?).
Nothing. It is an empty folder.
I got the popup, too
Apple is going to call me about this in a few. It might go to the engineering team.
Expect a Reply later today.

I got that pop up too. I don't understand all the technical replies to the issue. I just want to know if I should click "Uninstall" on the popup.
This is marked 'solved'. Can Apple please clearly mark the solution?
I did this and it worked , no issues. Thanks for the info.
