iCloud Keychain not saving passwords on MacBook or iPhone

I changed my gmail password using a suggested strong password on my iPhone and also on my Macbook Air. But the iCloud keychain is not updating. I have checked iCloud Keychain and it's not there. I have checked chrome autofill passwords (even though I use safari)and it's not there. I have looked at safari passwords in preferences and its not there. I have tried to update with a new passwords both on my iPhone 10x and MacBook several times.

Any ideas?
