Stuck power button 2019 MacBook Pro

The power button/touch id physically cannot be pressed in, so the only way to turn on the computer after it is shut down is to reset the PRAM by pressing Command+Option+P+R. It's not like the button doesn't do anything, it is physically stuck in one position. Touch ID still works.

Hello, jasper245.

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're unable to power on your MacBook Pro after its been shut down due to a physical issue with the power button/Touch ID button.

Try cleaning the Touch ID/power button the same way you would clean your display:

We hope this helps. Take care.
