macOS Big Sur Dock icon size and Launchpad icon size relations

When I increase the size of the Dock icon to over 60, the Launchpad app icon decreases.

defaults write com.apple.dock tilesize -int 60; killall Dock

The Launchpad icons are normal.

defaults write com.apple.dock tilesize -int 62; killall Dock

The Launchpad icons are smaller.

Is this normal??

tiny dock icons - just some Some of the icons in my dock are tiny, they look like micro versions of the standard ones. It seems to be the ones on the right, for active programmes, and once the icon is clicked to re-activiate the programme they revert to normal size. Problems with dock icons Since I upgraded to Big Sur last week I am having problems with my dock icons. Sometimes when I click on an icon a finder window pops up. Sometimes I have to click on the icon twice instead of once then it will open or take me to the open app. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to it, sometimes they work on the first click sometimes they don’t.

Dock Icons Shrink When Lock Screen Hi. After an OS upgrade within the past year or so, when I unlock my computer from lock screen, all open app icons on the dock are shrunk. Maximizing and then minimizing the open apps makes the dock icons go back to regular size. See the attached screen capture. Note that it's only the icons for the native apps (Safari, Excel, Word here) that shrink. Apps I download from elsewhere (Firefox here) don't shrink. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thx.
