Hi All
Is there any way to remove the menu bar clock in BigSur?
In System Preferences under Date & Time, the clock tab is missing.
In System Preferences under Dock & Menu Bar I can't seem to do more than to minimize the clock by using the Analogue option, but cannot remove it entirely.
Has this function been moved elsewhere, has it been removed or is this a bug?

Look in Dock & Menu Bar in System Preferences, scroll to the bottom Menu Bar only, Clock (Menu Bar).
This isn't having any effect.
Is there another setting that has to be adjusted for this to work?

This is super annoying, can you at least set how the date and clock will be showing?
Use the Dark Mode with Reduced Transparency and Increase Contrast and the clock will be much more readable:
Of course, by the way, "enhanced contrast" has its drawbacks since it is not the default. Disappearing Favorites in Safari is one that I have discovered.
I have the enhanced contrast option enable and still have the Favorites bar in Safari:

Is Do Not Disturb turned off? The only other place I can think you could look is in System Preferences > Notifications > Do Not Disturb. Maybe you have DND scheduled to be on automatically during the day, or perhaps if you are connected to a TV and have "when mirroring to TVs and projectors" checked. ??
Yes and no. If you want to completely remove date and time, no. However you can modify and personalize your date and time appearance under "Dock and Menu Bar" panel in System Preferences and searching for "date" or "clock".
Ha! You're lucky. White is sooo much better than shades of gray.
I have multiple computers. One has a gray menu bar which has the grey clock, the other has a coloured menu bar and a white clock! I have no idea why they are different! The only hint I have, so far, is that the coloured menu bar is because it is transparent (it stays the color of the background).
The only way the alt-click works is on the gray background.

... actually the menu bar clock is grey when Do Not Disturb is enabled. It turns out that option-clicking the menubar clock turns on DND.
