Hi,
Add the issue on 10.15.7 / Catalina, and I checked what was in /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/HAL/. There was an MMAudio Device.driver folder which had a timestamp in 2018. I deleted it sudo rm -rf /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/HAL/MMAudio Device.driver , then reboot and now it's all fine, problem solved. I checked around (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8204613) and this MMAudio seems to be a leftover from an application I had been carrying for quite sometime.
All happy now.
I have tried everything in this official bose forum: https://community.bose.com/t5/Around-On-Ear-Headphones/Bose-QuietComfort-35-II-keeps-disconnecting-connecting-to-macOS/td-p/262759 but nothing really worked. Maybe it works for some of you (?).
The headset pairs perfectly fine with any other hardware tho, so it must be a Big Sur issue. Hope they release a patch quickly :)
Thanks for your message isLz. It seems the problem isn't solvable at the moment.
I have talked with Bose, they said call Apple. I have called Apple but they weren't able to solve the problem. I hope some kind of update will solve the issue at some time.
Apple suggested to ge back to Catalina using a Time Machine backup...
Hooray! So glad to hear it. This problem was driving me nuts, but some kind soul posted the solution on a different thread, and I was happy to pass it along. Now if we can just get Apple to release a permanent fix already...
and yes I tried everything: remove and read device, restart computer, reset headset, reset bluetooth module
I also have tried everything
This fixed the problem. Thanks, Vincent Bove!
This seems to have solved my problem as well. The connection is still alive! Thank you very much
