My Mac isn't HDCP compliant (No screen mirroring or HDMI)

When I watch Netflix I get a warning that my Mac isn't HDCP compliant. This is with NO screen mirroring or HDMI cable. This is just standalone MacBook. The laptop has never done screen mirroring. I have a 13' MacBook Pro 2015. I am finding it very odd and frustrating. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing the error?

The Mac did get a new screen last year as part of the recall of the MacBooks produced with an issue which affects the film on the screen. This was done through the "Storm front" store and paid for by apple. Could they have fitted an unofficial part? How would I find this out?

So many questions! I hope you can help.

Hello Charlotteken,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are unable to watch Netflix on your MacBook Pro, as you get an error related to HDCP. To help with this, please follow the steps in this Apple resource and then contact Apple directly if you need any further assistance.
