I recently purchased an apple refurbished MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports). After about 2 months of use, I began noticing an intermittent clicking sound and a regular whirring sound.
I assume it's the fan, but I am no expert.
Any ideas of what this noise is and what I should do?

If you make a Genius Bar appointment, they should be able to diagnose the problem while you wait, and let you know how long the repair should take. Then you can decide what to do.
If the whirring sound is just a whoosh of moving air, that’s a normal fan sound. Is the clicking reproducible? If so, a visit to an Apple Store would be something to consider.
Is this one of your sounds? if so, it is not considered a defect.

The SSD drives have gotten so fast, they are moving onto the audible range.
It's more than a whoosh...it sounds like a whirr (intermittant and regular) when the laptop has been literally on my lap for sometime.
I am skeptical about handing it off to Apple and not having it available for some time. Any ideas about how long a diagnostic can take from an Apple store?
Thanks to all, I am continuing to document the sound. Because it just began and is very unusual and intermittent, I am monitoring it before I bring it to an Apple dealer. I do have a warranty and AppleCare+ on it, so I will refrain home
remedies.
Just curious if anyone else has had this issue. I will record it next time and share.
