Unable to change cities in World Clock widget Big Sur
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see how you add or remove cities in the World Clock widget in Big Sur.

Hi,
Do you have an external monitor???
It seems there is a bug that, if you have an external monitor and the widget configuration appears on the right side of such device, there is no way to modify the cities.
If you disconnect any external monitor, and leave only the laptop screen, then you can modify the cities list by clicking over the name of anyone already listed.
Regards,
Diego
You will be able to edit the cities by following the below steps:
Hope this helps.
Im on a Macbook Air 2020
I open Notification Center - I click edit Widgets - I get to the inserted UI. No cities are presented no matter where and how I click. The clock is locked on default "Cupertino" - same thing with the four clock widget.
Once Edit Clocks is open, I click on the cities (simple and double) and nothing happens. Also the Done button on the right top corner does not work. The only way I can exit the edit mode of the clock, is by clicking outside of it. Edit: After restarting the computer, it works fine.
FWIW, you cannot add or delete cities, only change which of four cities you wish to display.
This is a painful one for me. I only want 2 or 3 clocks, like I used to have, because that's where my family is.
Does this (mockup) really look that bad?
Hi, in case you didn't find an answer yet, cities can be edited in the Mac Big Sur widget. It takes some right-clicking (ctrl-click).
Open Notifications, scroll to the Clock widget, and right-click on it. Then choose Edit "Clock" and right-click on a city name. This brings up a searchable list of all available cities.
All four cities can be changed, but it does look like it's limited to four cities total. Hope that helps! I always trying right-clicking when I get stuck :)
Screenshot 1/3: Right-click on clock widget, choose Edit "Clock":

SS 3/3: Pop-up searchable list of cities appears:
Some confusion here between 'City' widget and 'World Clock' widget. 'World Clock' can't be edited (except to rearrange the order), but you can add individual clocks from cities of your choice as separate instances of the 'City' widget.
Same here. Click on a city clock within the widget, and it goes to the Date & Time preference pane, not useful for the purpose of choosing cities for the widget. Re-start helped not.
Did you click Edit Widgets, first? You must be in Edit mode to adjust the widgets' content.
This works, but inconsistently. Firstly, someone already mentioned that you cannot add or delete cities. You can only change them. I was initially able to change the cities. But now when I click on "edit widget", I get the display that looks like it should allow you to change the order and this is where I was able to click on one of the cities and change it to something that suited me. But now I can do neither. I cannot change the cities and I when I click on the icons that should let me change the order, nothing happens. Must be a bug.
Me too.
I understand that others are posting that they just click on the cities to change them and it is obviously working for them. But there is a bug or something with my machine. My machine just does not give me that result.
Hi Lisa6352,
I had the same issue. Make sure you're editing the widgets first, then click on the clock face, which will rotate the widget to show the list. Clicking on the name of the city should bring up a pop-up where you can search to a new city to replace the one you clicked on. I had to try this a few times for me to get to this editing feature. Seems a little buggy.
cheers
I think the confusion can be cleared up if you understand that the widget can only show four cities. You cannot add or remove cities--only change existing ones.
Here are some steps for changing a city in the World Clock widget.
1. Go to the widget and click on the Edit Widgets button on the bottom of the column of widgets.
2. From there, click on the Clock (World Clock) widget to edit it.
3. Click on the city that you want to change from the list of four cities.
4. Type in the new city that you want then click on the city name from the list to select it.
5. Click on the Done button when finished.
Not all cities are listed. For example, I tried to enter Chesapeake, Virginia, but it did not show up, so I typed in Washington, D.C. because I know it is in the same timezone.
I hope this information helps.
