Transfer SmartTrip to new iPhone

Does anyone know how to transfer the SmartTrip card from an old iPhone to a new iPhone? When I try to transfer the existing card that’s in the wallet on my old iPhone, I’m being asked to hold an actual SmartTrip card near the new iPhone to perform the transfer 🤷🏽‍♂️.
