IPAd Pro 2019 USB-C to HDMI (Samsung TV)

Hi, I have read the same question asked on here, but there wasn’t really a solution.

Setup: iPad Pro 2019 with USB C to HDMI adaptor (not Apple, but a good brand “Uni”) to mirror screen / play video

I have an really old Samsung TV that I use the above set up for which works fine. But my newer Samsung TV does not. (Prior 2018 so can’t do wirelessly)

The newer TV recognises that the display is connected, and my iPad will display “Video Playing on TV etc, but nothing comes up on the TV.

I have tried all the obvious (different cables, unplugging HDMI slots etc - gone through all TV settings..... )

Can not figure this out, very frustrating, please someone help.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 14

Hello aswift88,

We understand that you're having some issues connecting to your iPad with your TV. Is there another device you can test with this TV and adapter? Also, does this happen with all content or only from a certain app?

Make sure you've set up your connection using the guidance from Connect iPad to a TV, projector, or monitor with a cable. Then, since the issue seems to be isolated to the TV you are trying to connect, it may be helpful to reach out to Samsung directly - Official Samsung Support.

Thanks!
