iPhone 12 Pro Max sync to itunes

Hey guys. I hope this helps some of you with the new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I use an older version Mac (2011) and iTunes would not recognize my new phone. 2 hours on the phone with tech support and we were both trying different things. The tech saw something online that a user tried and it worked.

I tried re-downloading iTunes and it worked. DO NOT DELETE YOUR CURRENT ITUNES. Just go to the Apple page and try to re-download it and hopefully it will work for you as it did me. Good luck! :)

I had the same problem; was not able to sync music from Mac Book Pro to new iPhone 12 pro max. Music didn’t even show the new phone.

I went to FINDER, and clicked on iPhone. I had to click trust to recognize the new Pro Max, then had to go to the iPhone and also click trust there to recognize the Mac book Pro. Then went back into music and the new Pro Max was there waiting for me.

Don’t remove any of your current iTunes music or files. Just let iTunes redownload the program. That’s what I did and it worked. All of my files are fine.

Just go to the iTunes download page like if you were downloading it for the first time. One of Apples tech guys told about this.

Just download iTunes like if you was the first time. DO NOT DELETE YOUR CURRENT ITUNES.

The tech told me there was no guarantee it would work. This was an option after working with him for 2 hours prior with nothing else working.

Hope this helps. My new iPhone 12 and iTunes have been fine ever since.

I’ve tried re-installing my iTunes & still having a problem putting music on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. The strange thing is that when I try to put my album’s on my phone, I’m lucky if I get 2 track’s from each album which it’s HIGHLY disappointing as I want the FULL album’s on my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Apple do not care I had to use the you tube community to my problem.

you probably need to click the link on the desktop that states manage my own library and it will work from there.

apple have not told customers that the new iPhone 12 range does not automatically sync with your desktop. You will have to find a work around

Thanks. I'm having a sync nightmare too. My new Max isn't recognised in Finder when connected by cable and the help page doesn't help.

Yes I aware of this but there did not know from release date till mid January. I had to get help from you tube. They might be aware now but it was the you tube community that solve the problem not apple. I have emails snd messages to prove it

What do you mean by re- downing I-tunes. Do you have a step by step guide. As I don’t want to lose all my music from my desktop. My iPhone 12 will not sync with my desktop. Thanks

I have macbook pro 2010 with high sierra and latest itunes installed. But it doesnt recognize my 12 pro max. My friends 2015 macbook air with big sur installed sees my phone
