Showing battery percentage on status bar iPhone 12

Hello Apple...Not being able to show battery percentage on the iPhone 12 status bar is a dumb idea. My wife’s new iPhone 12 is always dead because she can’t remember to check it. It needs to show constantly as in the past..

There is no room in the status bar to show battery percentage. You can view it by opening the Control Center by dragging down from the top right corner of the screen. I don’t buy that you can’t tell the approximate state of charge from just the icon, which turns yellow when the state of charge drops below 20%.

If you follow the best practice of charging overnight, every night, the probability of the battery going so low the phone shuts off during the day is minimal.

You don't, sorry.

In the latest iPhone models the notch takes up a lot of space in the status bar at the top, and some symbols/numbers can no longer be shown. To see the battery percentage, you have three main options:

1.      Open the Control Center, swiping down from top right corner of your screen;

2.      Add the "Batteries" widget to existing ones, swiping to right when you're in your home page;

3.      Ask Siri: "what’s my battery charge level?"

Choose the most convenient one for your habits.

Regards

Giulio
