GIMP 2.10 not working after updating to Big Sur

Does anyone else have this problem that after updating to Big Sur GIMP 2.10.14 is incredibly laggy and unresponsive to the point of being unusable? Does anyone know of any solutions?

GIMP was working perfectly fine up until my computer updated overnight.

Thanks

I want to echo what nusaybafrommelville said. The latest version 2.10.22 is still completely crippled by Big Sur.

None of the issues I had with 2.10.14 seem to be fixed in 2.10.22 except perhaps some speed issues, and previews and sluggish navigation in the open dialog. This makes no difference at all. This is an image editing tool, not a file navigator.

None of the selection tools work, color exchange work maybe time 1 time out of 10 and so many more I can't remember. This makes Gimp completely unusable and broken.

I've noticed this too, I realized marching ants failed to show up once I tried to select something, realized the program is completely unusable right after. There aren't any solutions to it at the moment since Gimp has yet to release a new update, although you might be able to see more about it on this forum
