Unable to send MMS messages on iPhone 12 pro

An iPad cannot send MMS messages. It is a limitation of the cellular networks. If you have an iPhone you can send SMS/MMS from an iPad (or a Mac) through the iPhone. You can also subscribe to Google Voice and send MMS through it. But a standalone tablet (from any manufacturer) cannot send SMS/MMS messages.

Kylie, I’m not sure if you ended up finding a remedy for problem yet, I found your post after experiencing the same issue...

MMS enabled, both in settings and via carrier. In Australia, our latest carrier format for mobile (cellular) data is 5G, which apparently optimises iPhone 12 and other new brands of smart phone using mobile data. But... possibly similarly in US, MMS and other forms of encrypted data can be blocked, both on wifi and mobile data.

This can be adjusted by changing SIM, either physical SIM or eSIM. Then I guarantee you will be able to send pictures, videos, group pictures, etc. Essentially you need to “dumb down” your iPhone 12’s abilities, using the predecessor of your current SIM. Your last phone did not have capabilities of this one, so it would not have blocked anything. This will not adversely affect your phone. Frankly, many of the so-called awesome features are a pain in the butt, Face ID sucks, I now only use PIN, and this new security feature is a massive irritation. So downgrade the SIM.

iMessage failure to send the message

still in the log, this happened to my

old iPad mini. Weeks ago Apple had

me signed for iMessage ...that worked

for couple of days only.

this sending failure occurs when sending

to some people, not all,

whenever their name or phone number

entered the top of the screen turned

green, their name and number turned

to red, thanks for advice.

I have same problem in my iPhone 12, able to receive group messages and pictures from android users, but unable to send group messages or picture to android users. Tried several steps with the provider, no fix yet. Any help is appreciated

This started not working for me today. Wife has an Android. Not sure if that matters. I've sent her pictures this way 100 times today. All software is up to date. 11 Pro Max user here. I even reset network settings. Nothing works. I'm trying to send from Messages on MacOS

Same issue even after the update. All the group messages are in separate form. MMS is enabled and called my carrier to double check. Hope next update will fix this.

Me too this is awful. I feel this iphone 12 pro was the largest waste of money. It has sooo many issues. I just want a refund and i should have bought an 11 pro instead. :-(

my Phone completely updated mms is enabled both phone and provider still doesn’t work. Never has since I got the phone have had 5 phone calls w apple. It is ridiculous

That is incorrect. Update did nothing to fix this issue

I have the same issue with my I phone 12 Prox Max. Can't send MMS messages, receive an error message saying “MMS Messaging needs to be enabled to send this message”.
