I was not able to update "Garage Band", i have received this message "GarageBand can’t be installed on “Macintosh HD” because macOS version 11 or later is required."
I was to to get red of the update icon on my MacBook Air Application icon because I am not able to update the GarageBand.
Apple should know by now, that this bug at the AppStore needs fixing.remove the appStore from the Dock for the time being, so you don't have to see the wrong alert.

I'm curious as to why the update to GarageBand is offered - other than to sway end users to upgrade to Big Sur.
I was offered (and did update): Xcode, iMovie, Numbers, Pages, Keynote and Swift Playgrounds. Only GarageBand is failing.
I don't have Big Sur installed, so why is the App Store saying GarageBand can be updated (when it cannot be updated)?
