Do multiple purchases from different apps, billed on the same receipt, ever post as Record Shops of California

Today, my bank put a hold on my debit card for suspicious activity. When I called the bank I was asked (by an automated service) to verify the last three purchases I made. The first purchase listed was for Record Shops in California. I’ve never heard of this so I answered ‘no’ to that purchase. However, when I checked my bank account, there was a purchase pending for the exact same amount for APPLE.COM. So, I checked my emails and sure enough, I have a receipt from APPLE that show charges for my LinkedIn subscription and a purchase I made on a game app I play. Together they total the amount of the purchase being flagged by my bank from Record Shops. BTW, the APPLE purchase is legit.

I tried searching Record Shops and all I come up with are these questions on the APPLE community forums. None of them, however, give any definitive answer as to whether a charge from APPLE may also show as Record Shops (keeping in mind that my email receipt and the amount posted on my bank account for the exact same amount flagged by my bank as a Record Shops of California purchase are both showing as from Apple.com).

I’ve never had this issue before and I think it is safe to go ahead confirm the purchase (as I cannot use my debit card until I get this straightened out), but I’d feel much better if I could get a definitive answer. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi ARB_17,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We understand you have a question regarding the correlation between a charge your bank is flagging vs. your Apple purchase history. We'd like to share guidance to help.

It sounds like you did a good job checking up on your purchase history and receipts. Did you also check to see if you're signed up for any subscriptions not billed through Apple? Get help with subscriptions not billed through Apple - Apple Support.

We would recommend getting in touch with Apple's billing support team to confirm more information about this. Use this link to connect with the team: Get Support

Best regards.
