Classic Screen Saver does not work

Classic Screen Saver does not work under Big Sur—either with my own photos, or with Apple's collection. The other savers do work.

Bolstering Apple's Screen Saver would GREATLY increase the sales of Apple computers used in kitchens and family rooms as a way to display ALL photos within someone's archives of pictures as a backdrop in those rooms. If Apple needs to hire a Manager to spearhead this effort, I am available.

Loading library photo images into screen saver. In the Apple System Preferences Screen Saver Settings, I choose Photo Library -> Photos as the Source for the slideshow images to be used when the screen saver is activated after 20 minutes of inactivity. When previewing the Screen Saver or the actual screen saver is activated after 20 minutes of inactivity, a black screen appears on the computer screen. No photo images are displayed by the screen saver.

Screen Saver / Desktop Pictures in Big Sur There was some recent automatic update to Big Sur the other day and now I can't access my photo library to select wallpaper or screensaver photos form my Photos Library?

I have found the same as well ........ however, if you tick the option to display the time as well, the screensaver works normally, i.e displays a series of photos from the selected Photo folder.

That did indeed work. I did post the issue to Apple bug report, so maybe, eventually some fix will emerge from the ozone! Many thanks,
