Updated to Big Sur and outgoing mail stoped working

I had an application, "Little Snitch, a Fire wall for MacOS," that monitors outgoing and incoming network
connections. Evidently for some reason it prevented outgoing mail connections after I upgrade to Big Sur. I deleted
it and my out going mail was restored. They do have an upgrade that may have solved the problem but I consensus
was I did not really need it!
