Mail keeps crashing after updating to Big Sur

I had the same problem. First with iMessage, then with Mail.

For me it was probably due to the iCloud. Go to System Preferences -> iCloud -> and uncheck Mail. As long as it is on.

That was my solution. If you reactivate the iCloud switch afterwards, iCloud Mail will be reconfigured and it will work again.

I am having the same problem--email freezing and unable to input a contact name! And a printing issue as well. Goodness-- I didn't think i was an early adopter. I expected the bugs to be worked out by now.

Big Sur update freezes email with every attempt to send email or input a contact name. Apples spinning beach ball of doom freezes sytstem.

Same here. BEachball of death everytime I try to either drop a jpg into an open mail or try to attache via dialog.

I can't send mails with content beyond text, anymore.

Very annoying!
