Your iPad Pro is much larger, so it has much more surface area to dissipate heat and larger heat sinks/heat pipes for the processor.

Yea and batteries swell and damage is done. Ive already had one phone replaced bc it swelled.

Heat does not cause battery swelling.

That's why Apple offers a return policy, it's your choice.

Thanks, I saw that google maps was using 25% of my battery in background activity. Five minutes after disabling background activity for a hand full of apps my phone cooled off completely.
