How do I access my iMac photos and videos through my new TV with built-in AppleTV?

You can't. Your TV merely supports the TV app, which allows access to your iTunes purchases and Apple TV Channels (including their Apple TV Plus service). In order to access your iMac's photos and videos you would need to use home sharing, which requires an Apple TV box. You would then be accessing your library using the Computers app on that device.
