Approving Child App Requests without an Apple Product

I setup my daughter as a child in our Apple "Family" account. When she sends a request to install an app, I don't receive a notification. The directions I found online include iPhone, iPad, and Mac machines—I don't own or use any Apple hardware.

Am I missing something? Can I set this up to receive notifications via email, or text? Perhaps through iTunes?
