big sur probleem virusscanner Mcafee

OS Big SUR: what is a good virusscanner to use? Firewall, real time scanning, web security ...

What do you recommend?

McAfee total protection- firewall and real time scanning - does not work with OS Big Sur.

Unfortunately you only find out after you bought it. It is advertised as working with all OS.

So I wonder if more virusscanners have the same issues?

I have been using Macs since 2012 (and older Macs many years before that). I have never used any 3rd party malware protection since 2012 and have never had any issues.

Thank you for the quick response, so you would not use any extra virusscanner or firewall?

Sorry, it is a bit confusing, as different people seem to give different advices.
