FCPX: Libraries require read and write permission

OSX 10.15.7, FCPS 10.5

I have all FCP Libraries on an eternal disc drive. Everything was working find on the Mac Book PRO. I buy a new Mac mini and I get the "Libraries require read and write access".

I do have read and wrote access. The first thing I did was :

# chmod -R 777 /Volumes/Movies

That didn't do it.

I then deleted all .lock* files.

That didn't do it.

I then went into finder and chase to ignore ownership on this volume.

That didn't do it.

Anyone know what happened and how I can fix this? I can't even get in and do anything using FCP at this point.

Thanks, Jim

I would check that FCP X has permission to have Full Disc Access.

Do this in System Settings > Security > Privacy.
