Is anyone else unable to attach or upload a file after Safari update 14.0.1. I'm using Mohave 10.14.6

Same here. After updating Safari to 14.0.1 I was unable to upload any files. Called Apple support on 11/16/2020. They had me on hold for 45 minutes. When they finally connected me with a technician, I was on the line with him for another 40 minutes and resolved nothing. He suggested that I install Chrome or Firefox. Unbelievable, Apple installs a crappy update, they can’t fix it, and their solution is to install someone else’s software.
It's been weeks......WEEKS and it's still not working. It works fine on Chrome so that's what I'm using now but I definitely prefer Safari so hopefully Apple gets it together soon 🙄

How do you do this?
The only way I could get this to work was to install Catalina. My mac is older so it worked. Now can upload & download.
My chrome does work, just not Safari 14.6
No offense friends... but can anyone tell me how to opt out of this discussion!?

Same issue, definitely frustrating, but technology happens. I switched over to chrome. I did read it seams to be a Mojave specific issue.
How can we go back to Safari 14?
I have re-installed OSX Mojave, and file upload worked again. Then I installed the available security updates and Safari 14.0.1, now it's broken again. So the issue is Safari 14.0.1.
For this problem in gmail, i was able to drag/drop files from Finder and the files attached.
I am having the same problem. I have started to use Google Chrome until the problem is fixed. I may never go back to Safari as I am finding Chrome better to be honest.
Same problem. I just updated Safari to 14.0.1. Can't attach files in gmail. Attachments work in Firefox.
Chrome works for me but Safari is a total bust. Can NOT upload or attache any files.
