Couple of days ago I updated my MacBook Air with macOS Big Sur. After that my printer Epson L220 stopped working. Now I'm trying to add this printer via USB but getting the message: 'An error occurred while trying to add the selected device.successful-ok-ignored-or-substituted-attributes'.
Also tried Epson Connect Printer Setup but it cannot find the printer at all.
Don't know what to do now.

Have you checked whether a new XP-220 driver download for Big Sur is available?

If there is a problem with USB, you may want to try using a network (Wi-Fi) connection to a router instead.
Also, try resetting the printing system and re-adding the printer.

I have the same problem with my Epson L350, I checked their website and there are no drivers for MAC OS 11.01 (Big Sur) yet. Please let me know if you find any solution to this problem. I really need it.

My Printer and Fulitso Scansnap Scanner required updates for Big Sur. Consider going to your printer manufacturer's site for updates
Also both my Brother printer and scansnap scanner had to be left direct connected to my Mac Book Pro
