Is it just me, or is the "new tab" + missing in Safari?

Let them all express what they think about this minor changes. If Apple is reading or not I really don’t care about. Someone is going to pick up all this comments among others and will pass them to whom may it concern. Regards

No, no one is going to pass this on. Unless, of course, it's a fellow user who posts feedback in the appropriate place. But, if the issue isn't important enough for you to let Apple know you care, then why bother posting about it at all?

I completely agree! I was using a MacBook Air for work that ran Mohave and now I've just purchased my first MacBook Pro M1 and this tab change is the only thing I truly hate about it! Why remove it from the Tab bar it doesn't make any sense. Additionally, when I was trying to customize the tool bar the Tab shortcut would disappear after hitting done, but I got it fixed so it's in the top right corner now, but I like it closer to the search bar. Oh well, gonna have to get used to it I guess. Also, downloaded Chrome because I'm so used to the new tab being there!

The new tab button is not missing- it's just been moved. It should now be at the top of the page, to the right of the address bar, with the other icons.

I agree with this statement completely.

Not happy at all with this change. Get the "+" back to the previous spot in Safari as Finder uses to open a New Finder Tab! It's intuitive.

This is not what we want. Read the thread properly. The “+” sign is missed from the TAB line at the far right.

Are you really making a decision on the browser you use based on where one tab button is?

Yes, I chose my software based on ease of use and accessibility. This is a stupid and unnecessary change.

I absolutely agree. I just switched over from Firefox to Safari and this is the only truly annoying difference I've found that bugs me constantly. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but its just dumb.

true. new location of new tab is really bad. old one was much easier to use

I have moved from an old iMac27 High Sierra (yes this dinosaur has moved on!) to the new M1 Mac mini Big Sur and now miss the tab +. Here is a compromise.....right click top toolbar to customise....add + to the far right after the 'flexible space'. Voila! see image peeps.

Just press ⌘+T to open a new tab in Safari.
