Has anyone had issues with the rear glass cracking mine broke very easily by placing the iPhone 12 pro and iPhone 12 pro Max back to back to check sizes.

If you feel that is the case, make an appointment to have your phone examined by Apple.
They are trained to be able to tell the difference between a stress crack or manufacturing defect and damage due to impact, and stress cracks or defects do occasionally occur as they do with any other product that uses glass.
That's what glass does when dropped.
Take the insurance offer.

Not true. It happened to me too. Brand new phone, no drops.
I hate glass things. I never owned a glass phone . When I am forced to buy one I will buy AppleCare+ . It makes no sense not to.
I dropped my phone on my living room carpet (which is very soft) and it shattered.
Same thing happened to me. Had to pay $100 for a new phone (with Apple Care). She told me there was no way that happened without dropping it... well it did. Very upset
Yes, I dropped my phone with the case on it the other weekend and the back screen completely Webbed with cracks. Yes, with the CASE ON.
That is for the front glass.
Rear glass requires a replacement (much more money).
If I worked on a site with 1000 dollar glass back phone I would buy Applecare+
Its a long time since I worked for anyone, but it was never Apple.
I have an iPhone 12 Pro for less than 2 months and the back screen cracked on its own. The phone never fell down.
MIT is very disappointing for a phone that is supposed to be top of the line
unfortunately they have made this blunder in 12 pro max, its so god **** delicate man, my rear back glass has cracked and now ive to be extremely careful while placing it on the table or desks. Crap!
I’ve had many models of iPhone and I’m convinced the iPhone 12 back glass is weaker than the other models. With the broken back glass, phone still works fine just don’t take back cover off.
in the otter box sitting on the table not being touched at all and you heard the shatter just randomly out of nowhere the entire back shattered
For the same reason that you can kick on a piece of automotive glass all day and it won't break, but hit it with the point of a hammer designed to break it and it will shatter instantly.
Mine was in an Apple Branded case and now they are trying to charge me 599 for this. Has anyone had any luck with getting this replaced. Seems bad that close to 700 of us have this issue.
