I recently changed my login password on my iMac, but since then I have to login each time after my Mac goes to sleep mode. How can I stop that from happening? I'm running Catalina (10.15.7) on a late-2013 27" iMac.

What I find odd about it is that changing the preference in one pane changed a different preference in another pane. All I did was change the my login password. It's not like I added another account or changed my user name.

I am using Catalina 15.10.7 and this issue started after I changed my password.
I can't change the security settings - the requirement for password remains "immediately". And yes I am the administrator and I did unlock to make changes. I created a new user as suggested by one webpage but then I couldn't access my files but could change the time requirement for password. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. I had forgotten this little preference. Now I'm trying to figure out why Apple put that preference in the Security & Privacy pane instead of the Users & Groups > Password area.
