Do you have to leave Filevault deactivated for this to work.

Already submitted feedback couple weeks back on Apple support suggestion as there is no fix for this issue as of yet.

Right now, tdeloney, there is no workaround for multi-user systems, like yours and mine, that anyone, here, has figured out.

I have multiple users and the colorful obnoxious screen still appears.

The only way to safely change it is if enough people request for Apple to allow the change.

Whoever came up with that hideous long in screen we need to sit and talk 😂.

As already stated you can change it now if you only have one user account on the Mac and disable the Guest user.
