AirPods Sudden Static Noise

I was using my AirPods today (2nd Gen, NOT pro, wireless charging case) (case in pocket, buds in ears) when my left bud suddenly made a loud static noise for about a second. This only happened once, and it happened when I was rooting around in the pocket the case was in. I read somewhere this might be static electricity, it’s very dry where I am, is this possible?


I know it just happened once, but I just got them a few months ago and don’t wanna have to replace them. Is this a sign of a more serious hardware issue, or just something that happens?
