Why does my iPhone not allow me back up unless connected to power and screen locked. This never happened before. I have an iPhone 12. And my keychain won’t turn on!! New iPhone issues!!! Grr

Dude you are amazing I did not know about the two factor authentication I will give that a try and update you. Yes I’ve done the manual way because I found that if I do it to the iCloud way all my stuff takes forever to upload or nothing uploads properly therefore I upload via my Mac and then eventually it sinks with the iCloud as well if that makes sense.

No because I had the iPhone 8 and I could back up without being connected to a power source. I still have the iPhone 8 for my work and it still does it without being locked and plugged into power source but now have the iPhone 12 which won’t allow me to do it.

Btw yes the manual back up as u said which I normally would

do as I did on my iPhone 8. Just hit iCloud and backup except it won’t do it on the 12. Plus did plug it in and Lock Screen but it failed? It won’t display storage details either? Xx

Yep reset my phone like 10 plus times for

the exact same issues... from back up. Tried iCloud and then from the computer (which worked better as alll the apps were back on) but had to manually add the music as it wouldn’t sync no matter what. Oh no!! Apple defeated u too?? 😖😖

as soon as I restart it prompts me for Apple ID and when I enter my password (which is 100%) I get this message. 😫

I’ll try the iCloud thing again as I’ve reset my phone umpteen times and each time the process gets longer 😪😪 and work from your ideas from start to end again. Thank you so much xx
