Big Sur System Sounds can't be changed?

Anyone else bothered by the changes to the system sounds w/ Big Sur? When I drop a file on my desktop it makes a metal-ish sound that hurts my ears (the sound used to be a little "boing" type sound w/ old OS). I know it's picky, but I can't find a way to change the system sounds.

Sound effects on my MAC Big Sur Since installing Big Sur, not only have they removed my favourite sound effect, Purr, but now I cannot change the sound effects at all. Big Sur automatically chose "Pluck" and I know what I'd LIKE to call it. Has anyone figured out how to change it ? I have tried selecting other sound effects, but when I close System Preferences, I get the same old Pluck. Thanks for any help you can provide. - Hanna.

Big Sur 11.2.3 – no more sound devices in the menu bar Apparently my Mac updated overnight to macOS 11.2.3 and since this morning I can't access most (virtual) sound devices through the menu bar. That arguably being quite an okay cleanup, I also can't access my input devices with alt+clicking the speaker symbol in the menu bar, which bothers me a lot. Is there any .plist file or setting I can change to have it back as it was before? Thanks!

Big Sur "empty" and "move to trash" and "screen shot" sounds Hate the new system sounds. Is there a way to change them? If not , there has to be a hack or something somewhere.

The System Preferences : Sound panel allows you to alter alert sounds, or gag them entirely.
