Since I upgraded to Big Sur, I can no longer copy an image from a web page and paste it into a message using the right click on my mouse. I can use ctrl+V, but my right click shows "Paste" greyed out. I can copy images from previously sent messages and it will work with the right mouse click, but new images I copy from the web or even saved to my desktop and copied from Preview will not work with the mouse.

While we can ensure the feature is working within macOS and Apple apps, we're unable to determine settings or potential conflicts with third party browsers, apps, and features. Consider reviewing the functionality of the Chrome browser to ensure the image is being copied or look into downloading/saving the image to your computer and attaching to the message.

It works with Safari, but not Chrome. Nothing cures the issue. When I copy an image from the web in Chrome, the "paste" option in Messages is greyed out, but I can paste text. What gives?
I am having the same issue with utilities that I use to take snapshots. Paste is gray'ed out in the messages.
