Problems with Mail v. 14

Hey guys,

Just upgraded OS X v. 11.0.1 (macOS Big Sur) from macOS Catalina.

I'm using a MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017).

I have a few problems with the new mail (v. 14).

I have several mail accounts set up, all of them are in IMAP.

1) I don't have a trash folder with all the accounts anymore.

Same goes for spam.

I can see all inboxes, all seats, and all drafts.

But I'm missing the icons in the left pane to see all trash and all spam, I need to go see them individually.

2) The second problem is quite weird and hard to explain.

In the top of the left pane, I have a favorite section.

In this section, SOME of the accounts have a small arrow to their left, some of them don't.

Firstly, I don't understand why they're not all the same.

Secondly, those that have a small arrow are really bothering me, because then when I click the small arrow to the left, I see all the subfolders.

The problem is that I get a lot of junk in some account and so the junk subfolder's number of email is included in the total unread emails, which makes me freak out all the time.

Previously, in the top of the left pane, I would have all INBOXES only.

And then if I would click the arrow to the left to see subfolders.

But junk folders would NOT be there.

Also, I would like to understand why some emails have an arrow to the left, and some don't.

To my understanding, they are exactly the same in terms of configuration.

Thanks!

macOS 11.0.1 Big Sur but you do not say upgraded from what?

or

What exact mac this is?

One way of sorting anomalies is ti delete the email account and add it back in

Add or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

There is a hidden Show/Hide option, if you hover your mouse to the right side:

Hey!

Removing and adding the amounts fixed my problem number 2)!

Thanks a lot for that!!

However, I still don't understand how to see ALL JUNK and ALL TRASH in the same time, like previous version of Mail.

You can add by hover ing your mouse over the categories to expose the + sign. Here you can add

If in doubt play around with it—no harm there, add, delete move around to suit your needs.

I see that but that's not what I'm looking for.

I think I might not explain it correctly.

In my Mail, I have 10 IMAP accounts configured.

I have these icons (sorry for the French):

The first one is "all sent items".

When I click on it, I see all sent Items, from all 10 accounts.

In previous Mail, I use to have a similar icon for ALL TRASH, and ALL SPAM.

Now I need to go to each individual account to see their individual spam and trash folders.

I would like to have, like be fore, only one place to go to see all trash and all spam for all accounts in the same place.
