Numbers 10.2 Mac - Paste Special Transpose Needed

Taking a row of data from one source want to put it in as a column of data (labels actually) in a new table. Cannot find a easy way to Transpose.

So I did it in less than 30 seconds in a LibreOffice Spreadsheet (and I use LibreOffice less than 10 times a year). If Numbers is supposed to be friendly and powerful, why is it missing (or hiding) this simple functionality.

An alternate solution using a formula in the second tale.

Original data is in row 2 of Table 1.

Copy is to be placed in column A of Table 2, starting in cell A2.

Top to Bottom order of coy is to match Left to right order of original data.

Barry

PS: wrt "If Numbers is supposed to be friendly and powerful, why is it missing (or hiding) this simple functionality."

One reason could be that Numbers design goal was not to duplicate the functionality (and complexity) of MS Excel, while the various offshoots of Sta Office and OpenOffice.org, including LibreOffice apparntly did have that goal in mind.

That said, the TRANSPOSE function has been part of the Numbers function set since the 2013 complete rewrite of the application replacing Numbers '09.
