wrong time zone

When I try to schedule an event in the calendar app that occurs in May of next year, the time is set to Daylight Savings Time (one hour later than it should be). I live in Arizona where we do NOT use DST. I have manually set the time zone to Phoenix, AZ, but the calendar insists on showing my appointment as an hour later than it is. I also tried letting the time zone be set automatically, but still not working, as it chooses Denver as the time zone.

I have edited the entry several times and deleted and re-entered, but it still is wrong. It shows the time I have entered, but also DST, which is what shows up when I look at the calendar for upcoming appts.

Thanks Eric

I just updated the iOS to 14.2. When using Set Automatically in Date and Time, it still was giving me the Denver time zone, but this time, I was able to set the time zone manually to Phoenix, and it is now correct. So all's well that ends well, I guess. Still don't know why it didn't work before.
