Norton Lifelock install

Curious if I should install Norton LifeLock on my 2020 MBP? Has there been many problems with this software on system resources or other problems?

Norton Lifelock and High Sierra I installed Norton Lifelock On my iMac which has created performance problems including frequent shutdowns requiring restarts. I am running High Sierra. IMac is 6 years old but otherwise works great. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled Norton 3 times with the same poor result. Did I make a mistake with Norton? Do not install any third party app that claims to protect, clean, manage, etc. It is not needed, uses system resources while providing no benefit, and it may cause problems.
