iPad 6 died unexpectedly logic board problems?
My 2 years and 3 months (right out of the guarantee window 🤨) old iPad 6 just randomly died. I used it this afternoon and thought it was just asleep when I picked it up again. But it doesn't turn on anymore and couldn't be charged. The area where the logic board is was warm/hot, so I put it in a cooler room to cool down. The logic board didn't cool down though so I tried what is suggested here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201412 and my macbook recognised it and tried to update. It failed, now my macbook does not recognise it anymore, the logic board part is cool and when my iPad is connected to the charger I can hear sizzling noises from the logic board every second. Like a ticking clock.
How bad is it? Did I make it worse following the apple suggested trouble shooting? Can it be repaired?
