Control key not working on MacBook Pro 2020

I have bought this MacBook from apple refurbed and I hope this is not the issue.

I have had a keyboard coving on my MacBook since the day I bought it so dust and stuff is not an issue.

today the control key stopped working on my MacBook and I have no clue why. I have checked system preferences, they are fine. dust is not an issue, and the key does not work for any of the control options.

I have searched up the problem and those are the only explanations. I have tried out the key on multiple applications and even tried restarting my computer.

does anyone have a solution???!!!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. We understand the you're having issues with the Command key on your MacBook. Since this issue appeared, have you tried restarting your MacBook or performing a NVRAM reset? If not, those actions may be a resolve this issue, or at least help point you in the right direction for help.

Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac
