iPhone 8. Texting site A contact picture at top center

One specific contacts circle picture remains at the top center of my texting site.

I have refreshed and can’t figure how to remove it.

I have an iPhone 8 that I keep updated. I suspect one of the recent flurry of updates in the 14 plus series caused the problem it as my text are infrequent I do it know which one if any or how to remove this person from the top center of my text site. Help !
